Books to Read...

I decided to compose a short collection of books to read. The lists consist of some of my all time favorites. To add some spice to the act I divided the books into two opposing categories.

...At Any Age:
The Martian
The Last Song
The Book Thief
The Luxe
I have a strong feeling that I will reread these masterpieces. Unlike with some books that I've revisited, I don't think I will be disappointed by how the plot no longer excites me like it used to or notice that I have perhaps overgrown the anticipated audience of the book. The themes contemplated in these books work well for younger readers but succeed just as well in getting adults hooked too. The Martian and The Book Thief are the best examples as they will interest a large audience where as The Last Song and The Luxe demand a slightly more romantic aspire.

...While You're Young And Free:
Fangirl
TFIOS
If I Stay
Hyperbole and a Half
These page turners have provided me with some of the best I-feel-you moments and have had me laughing with tears in my eyes. If anyone ever feels like they are missing something in their lives, read these books. They will make you feel so much better about yourself due to the reliability or just the awesomeness of life.
Also I am not claiming that you couldn't enjoy these books as a grownup, but in my eyes the golden moment is when you are young.

This is only a handful of all the amazing works of literature out there, but looking at my bookshelf I felt a sudden, impulsive need to share these particular books because they have given me so much. I honestly think that books teach us so much and that is why I would like to end this post by sharing an amazing, oh-so-true quote:

"I read not because I don't have a life, but because I choose to have many."

Grab a book this weekend and let yourself get enveloped in the unique world of that story and let it give you energy so that you'll be 110% ready to show Monday who's in charge.
