Books Are Jazzy

A reader lives a thousand lives before they die. The person who never reads lives only one.

The theme for today's bookstagram challenge is "all the feels". Many books fulfil this label all in bit of a different way. Classics like Harry Potter bring back so many memories, some of my first-reads such as the Emily Windsnap series take me years back while other, strong individuals have taken me through such emotional rides that just looking at the cover makes me lose both my balance and sense of time. So what am I supposed to post??

Well, I decided to go with the book that, in my opinion, fits the theme the most inclusively. The title alone is enough to back up my reasoning. The book I mean is Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell, of course!

Here's a list of the numerous feels it gives me:

  • I am able to identify in the character and feelings of Cath on so many levels
  • Simon Snow is an unmistakable symbol of Harry Potter, which of course makes me all the more giggly
  • The whole existence of Carry On as not only a book within the book, but an actual binding is overly exciting
  • You know, the mint color of the cover is too pretty not to mention
  • Even the title reminds me that being a fangirl is completely ok
  • I got the books (Fangirl and Carry On) as gifts from no other than Laura so they will always remind me of our friendship and totally jazzy book-binded-bond

I'd love to hear some of the books that give you all the feels so leave me a comment here or under the pic on Instagram ;)

Lovely Sunday to everyone,
Anna

About Us

Hi! We're Laura and Anna, two twenty-something women who love reading! We originally met each other in Atlanta, GA, over 10 years ago. Since then, we moved back to our home country of Finland, and now that we are in university, Anna lives in Turku, Finland, studying medicine and Laura lives in Asheville, NC, studying literature.

We read in a wide variety of genres, including all forms of young adult fiction and some adult books as well. Laura tries to focus on fantasy, but sometimes her coursebooks get in the way, whereas Anna is happy to read anything other than her textbooks!
