The Martian by Andy Weir was a laugh-out-loud book, that I enjoyed immensely. I haven't read any science-fiction in a long while and this book has been on my to-read list since early spring.

The Martian tells the story of Mark Watney, an astronaut who is stranded on Mars. The rest of his crew abandons him when a sandstorm hits their camp. And the next manned mission isn't scheduled to arrive for another four years. Mark has to make the wasteland life-sustainable. His time on Mars is filled with dangerous misadventures interspersed by his sarcastic logs.

I couldn't get enough of this book. I absolutely loved Mark's character and how the logs really brought out his voice. I'd recommend The Martian to anyone who enjoys sci-fi, comedy, or any combination of the two.
