Pride and Prejudice
I am eight pages from finishing Pride and Prejudice. This is a thing I do. I like leaving the last pages unread for a while before I get to see how the story ends. Sometimes this leeds to me finding the ending very unpleasant and feeling restless. Other times it gives me great relief to see that I had it all wrong and am glad to find out the actual final twist.
I feel that what comes to Pride and Prejudice, I'm not sure whether the ending is already set in stone and clear as day, or if I'm in for a last, dramatic turn.
As for the 320 pages that I have already devoured, I have enjoyed the book. My joy has been less than what I had expected, but the feel of the romance and odd but strangely flamboyant 1700s vibe has been to my liking.

As for the movie, it gave me no new information on the ending to be, as the movie ends exactly where I am in the book. Convenient.
All in all the movie was nice, but somehow I feel that the character of Mr Darcy was left showing less emotion than I had imagined. I felt a bit dissatisfied with this point. I did, however, like how the color scheme of the film was set to emphasize the positions of the characters and the change in the understanding of their true natures; how Mary as the unfitting sibling was all black compared to her colorful sisters, how Mr Darcy turned to wear lighter shades as his person showed more liking...
