Harry Potter fans, dangerous content ahead!
Hello there! YES I mean you,
J.K. Rowling made quite a big revelation in this link.
*You should probably follow that link before reading on unless you want to face horrible feelings of confusion, unsureness and possibly even funnyness (of course that's a word, what do you mean?)*
It came as quite a big surprise to both of us. And as matter of fact our reactions were slightly (okay fine, extremely) differring. Rowling said in the article that she is breaking peoples' hearts. I see that comment as hyperbole. "No one can seriously take it that seriously!" was my reaction. And if I'm to be completely honest, I laughed and thought it was hilarious because in my opinion Ron and Hermione are a couple. Simple as that. So when someone -and not just someone but the author!- says that they don't like it and wish they could change it, the first reaction I have is to laugh. Then laugh. So once I was done laughing, I felt empty. Let's just say that I'm glad she wrote the book back then and not now.
Now you're probably either thinking "Monster! How can she laugh at that?!?!?!!" or "Okay, I guess I understand..." or something else along those lines. So I shall tell you an opposing reaction. The one of Laura:
It all begain with "WHAT IS THIS?!?" (or at least that's what I got from her "!!!!!!"). Once I was done laughing she seemed in shock and unapproving of my reaction. I received a questioning "How in the world is that funny?!?" type of text. So I was helpful and explained my pov (Point of view) -as I often must- and the reply was just "EVERYONES HEARTS ARE BROKEN". I coud imagine her staring at her phone in utter confusion and shock, hyperventilating. Im sorry, I know I only made it worse with my laughing. But, to cheer you up, I guess our conclusion was the same.
