Top 10 Books Read in 2013
2013 was a year of many things. (Wow, does that sound creative) Good and bad. Happy and sad. Funny and just really not.
Trapped in a maze, invaded by aliens, solving mysteries, death of loved ones, laughing at the failure of others... Believe it or not, we experienced all of this. Not literally, though. The characters in the books read did. Very literally. And therefore it feels (in a very vague way) as if we did too.
So the name of the game is as follows:
We decided to honor the best of the best. So, here are the top ten books we read last year. Yes, they aren't all creations of the past year, but they still made our list. The order is more or less accurate.
(Drum roll please)
10. And Then There Were None (Agatha Christie)
9. Vadelmavene pakolainen (Miika Nousiainen)
8. The Perks of Being a Wallflower (Stephen Chbosky)
7. Punainen kuin veri (Salla Simukka)
6. Incarceron (Catherine Fisher)
5. The Maze Runner (James Dashner)
4. The Fault in Our Stars (John Green)
3. Hyperbole and a Half (Allie Brosh)
2. The Host (Stephenie Meyer)
1. Divergent (Veronica Roth)
Of course bad reads do exist also. Ones that make you very confused and want to throw the book -as happened to Pat in The Silver Linings Playbook. Horrid enough books didn't pass us by last year so we shall not honor any specific book's badness. For some unknown reason, I felt the need to add this notice anyway. So go bad books, I guess... Well, at least they help the really good books stand out.
Anyhow, new year, new books. Congratulations to the top10.
